Euskal Kazeta Paid Media Internship

We seek college interns for our ongoing media internship program that is offered Spring, Summer and Fall.

The student intern will be responsible for writing news articles and producing social media posts relating to the Basque culture for our non-profit news organization Euskal Kazeta Foundation. The intern will work under the guidance of professional journalists.

The intern is expected to have a strong interest in the Basque culture, although Basque heritage is not required.

Some flexibility in job responsibilities exists as this is a small business and could also use help with different facets of the business, such as article writing, social media postings, video production, photography, fundraising and grant writing. Students must have the ability to write engaging and accurate content, conduct research, and work collaboratively with editors and team members.

The program will last eight weeks and will be adjusted based on the student’s academic calendar.

A stipend of $575 will be offered at the end of the internship.

The ideal candidates will be college juniors or seniors, majoring in Communication or Media Studies or Journalism, although other majors will be considered such as Graphic Design, Photography, Entrepreneurship, Digital Communication, Documentary/FilmPublic RelationsRadio, Television, Media Non-Profit Management or Business Administration, General Studies, or Liberal Arts.
