Eukene Franco-Landa, Writer
Born and raised in the Basque Country, Eukene Franco-Landa is a sociolinguist who began researching the intersection of language variation and identity during her doctoral studies at the University of Miami.
Today, she teaches linguistics at Florida International University and Basque for the North American Basque Organizations, while investigating how language habits shape a sense of belonging in both the homeland and the U.S. diaspora.
Franco-Landa is also the founder of Minority Languaging, a digital platform dedicated to connecting and uplifting minoritized language communities worldwide.
